25th Anniversary Challenge Gift
Help Us Match 25th Anniversary Challenge gift
To Preserve and Present Rural Maine History
-Your Gift is Worth Twice As Much!-
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We’ve been so successful these 25 years in getting Mainers to donate their historic artifacts, and we’re on the verge of having to turn away future donations if we don’t provide new and expanded display, storage, and hands-on programming space along with public bathroom facilities. And the opportunities for additional and sizable donations are before us!
In honor of the Curran Homestead’s 25th anniversary (2016), Karen and Irv Marsters have offered a $15,000 challenge gift to be matched by Curran Board Members, Friends, Volunteers, Donors, and Visitors during 2016.
Please help with your generous match contribution to Curran Homestead’s 25th Anniversary Matching Fund. All donations will be recognized at our January 16, 2017 “Annual Gathering”.
The Maine family farm is vanishing and with each lost farm goes another symbol of Maine’s unique rural culture!
The Curran Homestead Living History Farm and Museum volunteers are capturing for future generations the values and customs of rural Maine and demonstrating a time when self-reliance, cooperation, industry, and thrift were honored traditions.
Our volunteers will enrich the lives of our children and grandchildren, offer our local communities many opportunities for wholesome family fun and serve as an excellent education resource through museum displays and hands-on activities.
