2025 Summer Camp Program at 19th Century Curran Village
Monday thru Friday, August 4-8, 2025, 9AM-3:30PM (we had to re-schedule July
dates due to low enrollment; we depend on Facebook and word-of-mouth alone to
get the work out. Let others know).This program is not only history; it’s infused with S.T.E.A.M.
learning objectives.
This camp is for ages 10-15. We encourage siblings to sign up for this learning
opportunity. Each of the 5 days, M-F, begins at 9 and ends at 3:30; we can
occasionally arrange for late pickups. Campers need a snack (we will have
snacks, if you prefer) and a bag lunch for the day; you will let us know of any
dietary restrictions, as we will also make ice cream, pickles and something
baked—Irish soda bread. Cost: $395 The tentative program will include:
- Horse Carousel rides every day
- Crystal Radio Set Building
- Electric Lamp Making
- Night Sender Key — Telegraph
- Fiber Arts: card, spin (make a drop spindle) and weave on a laptop loom you make.
- Letterpress Printing/ Etch Printing
- Ice Cream Making, Pickling and Baking on our Farmhouse Cook Stove.
- Butter Making and Rhubarb Crisp
- Pottery
- Blacksmithing
- Make a Toolbox
- Stenciling
- Candle Making
