Up-2-Date Manure Spreader (Circa 1905), manufactured by Cedar Rapids Implement Works, Cedar Rapids, Iowa

This is a close match to the early horse-drawn manure spreader donated and extracted from the Ford Farm on Fields Pond Road, Orrington, ME. The feature paralleled in the Ford manure spreader is its bed chain that moves from one end to the other rather than making a continuous circuit. Also, the paddles at the back of the spreader are wooden studs with metal spikes driven in them in the same pattern.
