Our Archives

Curran Village is in the process of developing both this online archives and an onsite physical archives accessible for research. Our archives includes a library of 19th century texts, periodicals, documents and other ephemera as well as the Richard Bronson Circus Collection and the N.H. Bragg & Son Collection, 1832-1901. The latter collection documents circus and fair entertainment experience of Maine from the 1870s-1990s. Our holdings include ephemera connected with the 1894 Herschell-Armitage Riding Gallery ( carousel ), including original tickets, flyers, posters, and receipts. Additional we have a hard copy collection of Gas Engine Magazine and equipment, machinery, and automobile manuals. Our archives continues to grow.
